During our 80s themed Christmas Party in school, I got an 80s CD from Mil during the exchange gift. It was a great gift because there were a number of songs there that were my sentimental favorites a few decades back. Somewhere along the way, I forgot about them, and this CD brought it all back.
And one of the songs was "Can't get by without you" by The Real Thing.
Technically, this song is from the late 70s, but hey, who's counting the years. With a song this beautiful - from the soothing melody to the heartfelt lyrics - it transcends years and will sound as fresh in 2011 as it did in the late 70s.
I hope the musical artists can write more songs that are this real.
