Gig in Japan

I've been in Japan for almost a week already. The Shinkansen is such a Godsend. I've been to Kyoto, Osaka, Niigata and Tokyo the past few days. It's interesting to see how diverse Japan is, in terms of architecture, landscape and people.

My trip is for 10 days, and i'm sure that writing about it will take much, much, much more time.

Hey Marlon. Yup, I lived in the Gion district and was able to take a photo of a Geisha! (She was looking and smiling at me, and according to the locals I was with, that was a good thing.) I loved the temples in Kyoto and enjoyed window shopping in Teramachi!

it's because we the maikos and the geishas are like celebrities in Kyoto. we took pictures, too and we were like paparazzis constantly on the look out for geishas. hehe! =) by the way, we stayed oernight at the tomato guest house in higashiyama. did you stay at a hotel?

Yup, I stayed at the Kyoto Apa Gion Hotel which was just beside the Gion district. The location is ideal because all the major shrines are within walking distance, plus, you can easily walk going to downtown Kyoto. The rooms are small, though.
