When I was younger, I remember liking the melody of Suzanne Vega's "Luka."
Even back then, the lyrics were a bit disturbing and daunting. Especially the part "if you hear something at night, some kind of trouble, some kind of fight, just don't ask me what it was." This was clearly a song about domestic violence, and a person's attempt to escape it.
I think it's been more than 2 decades since this song dropped, and it's still as nice and disturbing as it was before.
