‘’Wich-ing hour

One of the first sandwiches that I learned to make as a kid was the classic hotdog sandwich.

It had a twist, though. 

Instead of the hotdog being on a bun, I’d slice it in the middle and put it on tasty bread. Of course, the tasty bread would have butter on one side and sandwich spread on the other.

I’d make it for breakfast and merienda. I’d even make it as my recess in school, wrapping it in either aluminum foil or the iconic checkered table napkins that were the rage back then.

Today, I went back to my childhood and made this for breakfast!


Yup, it’s as good now as it was then.
