The past few days, I've been craving for maruya.
I've always been a big fan of banana and banana based desserts. And while most people usually go for turon, I've always gravitated towards maruya. Something about it reminds me of my childhood vacations in bicol. And we would buy maruya from the peddler outside Lolo's house in Malinao. She would sell it while it's still warm, sprinkled with sugar. She would serve it on a banana leaf, and we'd happily eat it at the palitada.
Now I'm really craving for it. Good thing they have maruya at SM Supermarket.
