Facebook just reminded me that this happened 14 years ago!

This was one of the times that the siblings were all here in MNL, so we decided to have a photo shoot. This was at a garden restaurant in Antipolo, and it was so much fun.

Gosh! Time really flies when you're having fun with the family.

Davao deux

After a few months, I'm back in Davao!

The last time I was here, it was for a wedding. Now, I'm back for work.

It turns out, it's the Kadayawan Festival next week! The atmosphere is so festive already, and according to our driver, it's going to be one of the biggest yet.

We should've scheduled our Davao trip to next week!

The Money shot

This was a very accidental shot, and I'm glad to see how it turned out.

Fab!

Coinciding with Kurt's prom last week, Dad, Raymond, Kevin and Kurt thought of having a little fun. Taking a cue from Kurt, they all wore coats and did their very own Abbey Road photo.

They were, indeed, a Fab Four!

Shadowlands

Initially, I just wanted to take a photo of the interesting floor details in Roxas City. But when I snapped a photo, I ended up with this even more interesting shot.

Candid Camera

When it comes to photographs, I've always preferred candid shots to ones that are planned. What I like about them is the fact that there's actually a story happening in the photograph. A story you don't know, and can only deduce based on the actions of the people in the shot.

During our company outing a few weeks ago, one of my colleagues took these candid shots throughout the day. He sent me the ones with me in it, and I was amazed at the fact that I had no idea that he was around taking photos.

I really like these photos. But that's just my candid assessment.

Sky high

My brother-in-law, Raymond, being the awesome photographer he is, took a lot of nice shots while we were in Clark this weekend.

Among the lot, this has got to be one of my favorites.

It's a shot of Ate Lissa as she was maneuvering the Avatar zip line.

The scale, the sky, the composition - everything about this photo is stellar. And the great part about this is that it's very unplanned, which adds to the raw beauty of it.

This should be framed somewhere.

Doggone cute!

My Atlanta-based nephews - Jul and Carl - are very much into dogs. They both have Siberian Huskies who are part of their family. That's why when my brother and nieces visited them, they not only spent time with the 2 boys, but with their dogs as well.

Toni posted some photos of her encounter with the doggies, and they're adorbz!

I like two photos in particular. First is this one which is perfect for a meme.

And the second one is this photo with the dog (I think his name is Storm) is doing his best "Mikayla's not impressed" look.

Doggone it! Why do they have to be so cute?

The Dork Side

After filling out my time sheet at work, this photo popped up after closing the program:

Apparently, our time sheet homepage posts random photos of office events, and it just so happened that one of them is this snap taken last April during our company outing.

I vaguely remember this photo being taken. But one thing is clear: I look like a dork in this photo.

Fathers and Sons

In the continuing saga of Alecx's 18th birthday party...

Here are 2 sets of fathers and sons. We were all in a row, seated at table 7. After the photographer took our shot and gave us the print out, all I could think of was: "Gosh, we're carbon copies of our respective Dads!"

Carlo, Mario, Edgar and Lester Edgard. You can't have a better Father and Son match that that.

Post card pretty

Once, while I was talking post card-type photos, Mom told me: "If you're just going to take pictures that look like post cards, then just buy a post card." I guess Mom isn't a huge fan of still life. Harhar.

After that, I've tried avoiding taking those types of shots. That was until last week when I saw this wonderful vista created by the bright blue sky and cherry blossoms in bloom.

Spring in Japan really is pretty.

The Nutty Professor

Yes, sometimes I feel like a nut for keeping the kind of schedule I have every Saturday. Much more so today!

There's class the whole morning, then a meet-and-greet with parents the whole afternoon, then it was off to the yearbook meeting and photo shoot in the evening. 

It was fun to see the editorial team of Pax all geeked-out for our group photo. Actually, I was in such a hurry that I wasn't able to see the shots, but thanks to my students Maica and Ai, I have outtakes!
