I see the (Carme)lite!

Whenever I travel out of town, one of the things I ask the Front Desk if the hotel is: "Where's the nearest Catholic Church?"

On our recent Davao trip, I was lucky to have been booked in a hotel with a church just 5 minutes away. And not only is it a church, it's a Carmelite Shrine and Monastery.

Passing this place makes me smile.

Every. Single. Time.

This was definitely one of the highlights from this week's trip to Davao. Cheap, fresh and delicious seafood!

Would you believe that a big chunk of tuna is just P300! And it was enough to feed 8 of us!

I'll definitely be back, if only for this.

After a few months, I'm back in Davao!

The last time I was here, it was for a wedding. Now, I'm back for work.

It turns out, it's the Kadayawan Festival next week! The atmosphere is so festive already, and according to our driver, it's going to be one of the biggest yet.

We should've scheduled our Davao trip to next week!
