When Britney Spears' "Oops!.. I did it again" album was launched, we were on a work trip in Vietnam. 

There were no HMVs or Tower Records stores there, so we had to go to department stores and independent music stores to see if they had it.

Eventually, we found a store that sold it. Back then, it didn't cross my mind whether the CD they sold was legit or a bootleg. The important part was that the CD was in my hand.

It's difficult to believe that it's been 25 years since then. But it has:

It’s been a while since my last book purchase. For myself, at least.

Yes, i’ve been buying  books from Big Bad Wold the past years, but they’re mostly for gifts.

Looks like that’s about to change. Thanks to this book.

It’s no secret that I’m a Britney Spears fan. And as much as we all love her showniz persona, it would be interesting to k ow her story a bit deeper.

Hoping that Fully Booked will eventually carry this title. 

A is for Apple. B is for Britney.

While randomly flicking the remote last night to find something interesting to watch, I found this cable channel called "HallyuPop" which turned out to be a channel that features concerts. Majority of the concerts they feature are Korean acts (thus, the "Hallyu") but they occasionally show other foreign acts as well.

And what was showing last night?

Britney Spears' Apple Music Festival performance.

Needless to say, my channel surfing stopped there and I had the pleasure of watching Britney perform once again.

As always, Britney is a joy to watch.

FMM: Can’t be beat

There’s a lot of talk about Britney nowadays.

After she halted her Las Vegas residency (which I so wanted to watch), questions about her heath and safety popped up. Heck, there’s even a #freeBritney movement now.

Despite the drama that’s unfolding, i’m Confident that Britney will pull through like she always does.

And while waiting for that to happen, let me relive some classic Britney this Friday Magic Madness. Her rendition of “The Beat Goes on” is celebrating it’s 20th year this year. So, it’s a fitting song for today:



And just like the song says, Britney - and her beat - will go on.

FMM: She did it!

While trying to find out whether Britney is going to have a concert elsewhere in Asia, I came across an interesting piece of trivia.

"Oops I did it again" is already 17 years old!



Gosh! That compounds my feeling old. It feels just like yesterday when I first heard it, and now it's officially an "old" song.

At least it now fits into the Friday Magic Madness mold.

My concert dreams just came true!

Britney Spears is finally coming to Manila!

Let me take an hour or two, or maybe a day to process this.

As I was about to write a post about some other notable discoveries from my SG trip, this little factoid about my blog popped on the screen.

Yup, my blog now has a total of 3,333 posts! That's a whole lotta 3s!

I still remember the last time Britney Spears was on the VMAs stage.

It was in 2007 and I was checked-in at Manila Peninsula for a shoot. In bated breath, we waited for Britney to make her appearance. Nay, it wasn't just an appearance, it was a comeback. (Supposedly.)

And as everyone knows, that didn't turn out as well as people hoped it would.

Now, 9 years after that fiasco, she takes the stage again, showing the VMAs - and the world - that she still has it. With performance precision, she sings "Make me..." from her new album, "Glory."



Yes, she definitely still has it. Britney can still make me - and the world - ooooh!

FMM: One more time

Yesterday, we were watching James Corben's Carpool Karaoke featuring Britney Spears.

And just like Brit-Brit, it was legendary!

So, for today's Friday Magic Madness, we go back to where it all began.

Pretty. Bad.

Two of my favorite singers just dropped their new singles. And now I find myself shuttling between two songs on youtube.

First is "Pretty Girls." The newest collaboration between Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea.



I'm loving the 80s references in this music video.

Second is Taylor Swift's much ballyhooed "Bad Blood."



The song is very catchy, and the woman empowerment theme of the video is good. My only beef with this is that it looks like a mash-up between "Toxic" and "Womanizer" - both videos of Britney that's directed by Joseph Kahn. (Who directed this video.)

Now I don't just have an LSS, I have two LSSes!

Style In-Spear-ation

After more than a decade, Britney's back! On the cover of InStyle, that is.

I think the last time I saw her on the cover of the US edition was in 2002. And truth be told, I've been waiting for her to appear on the cover again.

It's so good to see two of my favorites in one place.

This definitely works!

Britney has a new single! And she's working it!



Can't wait until the music video comes out.

Here's a good reason to go back to Las Vegas soon!

Britney Spears will have a year-long concert in Planet Hollywood! This might be the chance I've been waiting for to watch Ms. Spears, Live!

Britney's got style! (Gangnam, that is)

Admittedly, I'm a bit belated when it comes to this "Gangnam Style" fever. I only found out from my 4th year students, and eventually, my sister told me that Kevin performs the song, too.

So, I checked out youtube to see what the fuss is all about. Lo and behold, even Britney Spears is getting in style!



This video is addicting. And so is the song-and-dance-routine.

I better stop before it becomes an LSS. And an LDS, too.
