One skirt, two ways: Doing denim
There's this denim skirt from Regatta that's been in the stash for almost a month. Couldn't find the right top for it, so it couldn't get dispatched yet.
Thanks to my recent BKK trip, that skirt will not only be dispatched, but there are 2 ways to wear it.
First is this Ines dela Fressange knit top from Uniqlo. The relaxed silhouette and colour gives the whole ensemble a fashionable ease.
Second is this mixed denim top from Pratunam. The denim parts complement the skirt's hue, making this a perfect pair.
With the right top, this denim skirt became two chic!

LFLTAT: Jump Twice
There's this stall inside Puregold Cubao that has long caught my eye but never gotten around to check out. It's a small stall filled with denim products in all shapes and sizes.
After a grocery run, the decision was reached to finally stop by and check out what they're selling. And boy, it was such a good decicsion.
They had a trove of denim jumpers, and the price was surprisingly cheap! And with less than a thousand pesos, was able to put together not just one look, but two!
LOOK # 1:
This light denim jumper had a tapered silhouette and pockets in front. To keep things simple, got a ribbed tank top from Straightforward to complete the look.
LOOK # 2:
This one was a dark denim jumper, also with a shape that's cut close to the body. To create a contrast, the inner blouse is a loose, striped shirt from Uniqlo.
This is twice the chicness for just less than a thousand!

Ines' last-ing impression
Apparently, the fall collection of the Uniqlo x Ines dela Fressange collaboration is the last.
Among their many collaborations, this one seems to be the longest running. Season after season, Ines came out with beautiful pieces that capture her French joie de vivre.
It was indeed an impressive run.

Losing Zs
Nope, this isn't about sleep.
It's the fact that "oversized" should be an easy word to spell.
Apparently not.
See how missing a letter can make all the difference?

French Flair
Black and white stripes have always reminded me of French fashion. Whenever French folks are shown on photographs and illustrations, they're usually wearing a striped shirt, black pants or skirts, flat shoes and a beret.
Taking that as inspiration - and using the ongoing fast fashion sales as an excuse - here's an outfit that has that same flair.
The top is from Uniqlo, and is a boxy shirt with black and white strripes.
The pants are from Bershka, and it's a wide legged pant with this interesting overlap detail that makes it look like a skirt at certain angles.
Together, this is a modern French outfit that works wherever in the world you may be.
Beret is optional.

This I gotta :C
Claire Waight-/Keller has a special collection with Uniqlo!
Read about the Uniqlo:C collection on-line and saw some of the pieces from the collaboration. True to both Claire’s and Uniqlo’s DNA, the collection is very British in its tailoring, yet Japanese in its minimalist aesthetic.
Uniqlo really has a knack for collaborating with fashion forward yet low-key designers. From 3.1 Phillip Lim, Alexander Wang, Jil Sander, Helmut Lang, Suno - and many more - they’re the epitome of quiet chic.
I’ll go a see this collaboration soon!

Black and White Summer
Yes, when the word "summer" is mentioned, the images that are usually conjured up in the mind are all bright, happy and colourful. Think tropical prints, huge flowers, neons and pastels - that kind of vibe.
No one equates "black and white" with summer. Summer = Colour. That's the rule.
Then again, rules are made to be broken.
That's why this black and white ensemble is also summer worthy.
The dress is from the latest Ines dela Fressange collab at Uniqlo. It's a flowy dress with a plaid print that is reminiscent of picnic mats. Picnic = Summer.
The sandals are from Forme. These are very strappy, easy-going, and has that seaside vibe. Seaside = Summer.
So, it's as clear as black and white.
Black and white can be summer.

Personali-Tees
Last Sunday, the Spanish crew asked me to accompany them to the big Uniqlo store in Greenbelt 5. They said that the Uniqlo store in BCN isn't that big, and is expensive. And having experienced how big and more affordable Uniqlo is in MNL, they wanted to buy a "few" things.
Of course, "few" wasn't an accurate term.
We spent almost 4 hours in Uniqlo! They were browsing, then fitting, then buying, then browsing, then fitting, then buying...
In the span of time they were in the store, I had enough time to design and have these personalised shirts printed!
And, by the time these shirts were printed, they still weren't done! Harhar!
While I left the store with these 2 cool shirts, they walked out with 6 big bags of clothes.
How's that for "few"?

Color Story x LFTAT: Back-to-back-to-Beige
Yesterday, it was all about pants that were under the beige hue. Today, it's about a LFLTAT that's also about shades of beige. So, it's a Colour Story post, too!
It's this easy-going ensemble that I put together for Mom.
The top is from Uniqlo, and it's this light beige, oversized top with drop shoulders and an asymmetric shape. The khaki pants are from The SM Store. Just like the top, it has a loose silhouette and this combination of relaxed silhouettes make this outfit great for a weekend.
What makes it even greater is the fact that this outfit rang up to less than P800!
With this price and this hue, it's definitely worth a double feature.

Pant-tastic Week 2.0 - Day 1: The Classic
More than 2 years ago, was able to buy a pair of pants from Bench that had such a classic cut and denim fabric that it inspired a "Pant-tastic Week" post. For 5 days, the same pair was featured with 5 different tops that give it a different look each time.
This week, I'm doing that idea again, thanks to this very nice pair from The Landmark.

In Theory
It's a known fact that I'm not a very fashionable person.
My preferences in fashion are very plain and basic. Back in college, my uniform consisted of jeans and plain t-shirts. That carried over until now - except when we have client meetings with upper management. Those days, I have to look half-decent and wear jeans with plain oxford shirts.
Because of this no-nonsense approach to fashion, I've always been drawn to the aesthetic of the brand Theory.
This New York-based brand is known for their very sparse and basic designs, but always with a twist. Whether it's the fabric, the seaming, or the silhouette. They were very popular during 2010 to 2014 when Olivier Theyskens was at the helm of the house. Theyskens is known for his penchant of transforming something basic into something visually interesting.
This is precisely the reason why whenever Uniqlo comes out with a collaboration with Theory, I make it a point to score a few shirts from the collection. Just like these ones:
The fabric is super soft and comfortable, the shape is loose and easy, and it's a perfect shirt to wear when you don't want to think of what to wear.
That's the theory - nay, the truth - why I'm a fan of this brand.
