On a high!

High school, that is.

One of my classmates sent this 2nd year HS class photo of ours. And I reckon it'll be easy to spot where I am.

This is a great Throwback Thursday photo!

Throwback Thursday

Auntie Eden sent us this photo that was taken so long ago. Heck, I think this photo is at least 30 years old.

Now, we're a lot older. And a lot taller! At this age, I couldn't imagine me and Biboy growing to be as tall as Kuya Marv. (Spoiler Alert! We did!)

But just like how everyone was squeezed together in this shot, the family is still as close as ever.

So, while some things have changed, the important things haven't.

Throwback Tuesday

Seeing this on the supermarket shelf gave me a major throwback feeling.

Cola Cao was a brand of chocolate drink that Tita Evelyn and Tito Agustin would bring in from Spain when we were still kids. And now, it's readily available here in Manila.

Let me buy one and see if I still get that taste of childhood.

Shrowback Saturday

Because it's late for a #ThrowbackThursday and a #FlashbackFriday, I'm going to declare today #ShrowbackSaturday.

Kuya Ers posted this old photo of our DYR-Alcantara days in the early 2000s!

Gosh! I miss that office.

First job high

During the last Holy Week holidays, I was able to fix my shelves and found so many old photos - some as far back as college.

Since today is a #throwbackthursday, it's a good time to unearth one of those photos. Particularly, a photo of D' Frendz.

I think we were all on our first jobs when this was taken. And my theory why Mona isn't in the photo is that this might be the time when she was studying in Michigan.

Ah, the good times.

Throwback Shirt Day

Way back when I was in grade school, I remember my sisters owning a shirt from a very popular and very exclusive brand in the 80s.

The shirt was emblazoned with "ESP" in the front, and "RIT" in the back. That's when we were introduced to the brand name "ESPRIT."

In the 80s, every preppy and cool kid just HAD TO HAVE anything Esprit. Whether it was a shirt, jeans or bag, it was the brand to have.

On my way home, I saw this poster at the side of SM Megamall:

The shirt is back!

Further proof that what's old is new again.

Throwback Thursday: First job high!

Thanks to our Ex-Adformatix reunion last week, hundreds of old photographs emerged. And among them, this photo of me in my first job as a copywriter, at Adformatix, of course!

This was Optima, my first creative team.

Some of the people in this photo became my closest friends.

Two of them already passed on. (You're missed, Kuya Nips and Manong.)

All of them made my first advertising agency experience worthwhile and worth thousands of good memories.

So yes, it's true, that you'll never forget your first.

Sibling Revelry: The Throwback Thursday edition

Last Sunday, Dad showed me this really old family photo of theirs.

The photo gave me instant flashbacks!

Suddenly, I remembered how dashing Lolo Iking was, and how elegant Lola Dita looked. I also saw how Tito Ting looks like Paul, Tita Evelyn looks like Esther, Tito Hector looks like Harold, Tito Linden looks like Troy, and Dad looks like me. (No surprise there.)

I'm also impressed at how they kept the photo intact after all these years.

Throwback Thursdays rock!
