Foods for thought

Oh, Deng!
This is my current cheap thrill.
This Odeng set plus iced tea art Lawson is just P135! It's filling enough to be a meal, but light on the flavour and tummy.
Oh, Lawson. You never fail me.

Korea in Japan
Lawson is a Japanese convenience store. But it seems like they're riding the Korean wave.
Observe:
They're now selling Odeng at the Lawson store near our office! It looks like they're trying to get the lucrative market of K-food fans from Korean stores to their convenience store.
Will try these one of these days to see if they're legit.

Traveling Taste buds
One of the things that Mark and I often ask each other is: "When are we going back to Japan."
Since the country has a lot of significance to us and is part of many of our happy memories, we always want to go back and visit again.
Hopefully, that'll happen soon. But while waiting for those travel plans to happen, let me take my taste buds on a trip to Japan first.
Onigiri and Marugotto in the house!

Charcoal me maybe
Okay, that's enough lamenting.
When I got inside, I found this instead!
Yes, the bamboo charcoal soft serve ice cream is old news, but the fresh caramel one is pretty new!
I tried it, and it's SO GOOD!
Will definitely come back for this.

An important Lawson
The Japanese brand invasion continues in the Philippines as Lawson lands on our shores!
Lawson is one of our go-to convenience stores whenever we're in Japan. I remember ducking into one of their Ginza branches whenever I'm having a craving for onigiri.
What's nice is that one of their first branches is actually quite near our house. It's near Anonas, almost across St. Joseph's Church. So now, I can actually buy onigiri after hearing mass!
Looking forward to more Japanese goodness in the country soon!
