Sheer up
Sheer blouses aren't a new thing. In fact, we see iterations of this fashion piece ever year.
But this one from Kashieca caught my eye the moment I spotted it from outside the store.

Peach Perfect
Before New Year came around, Ate Bulket was already rummaging through her closet to look for something Peach to wear.
While she was sharing this dilemma, I was reminded of a Kashieca jumpsuit designed by Rhett Eala. Aside from the unusual silhouette. That jumpsuit was also peach!
So, it was off to Kashieca to check if it was still available.
Not only was it available, it was on sale!
And that’s how Ate Bullet started New Year’s Eve with a Peach ensemble.
(Of course, this was her day outfit. She wore matching lace dresses in a dark peach colour for our Noche Buena.)

LFLTAT: Jersey Sure
Can something super chic also be super affordable?
If you know where to look, (and where the sales are), the answer is a big, resounding YES!
Here's proof:
This elegant, all-black ensemble rang up to less than P500! It's an all-jersey ensemble that can go from casual to dinner party with a simple change of shoes and accessories.
The top is a cotton jersey blouse from The SM Store.
It's a super versatile wrap around skirt with no closures. You just wrap it around the waist and secure it with the super chic looking pin.
So far, this is the best LFTAT combo, for sure!

LFLTAT: Hall Pass
"Annie Hall" is truly a breakthrough and an unforgettable film.
Aside from sweeping so many awards in 1978, including a Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Actress award in that year's Oscars, another thing that "Annie Hall" is known for is the film's fashion.
Diane's "masculine-feminine" dressing became a trend after the film came out, and even decades after. Even until now, this film has inspired that kind of androgynous and carefree way of dressing.
Something that I was able to recreate for less than a thousand, thanks to sale pieces from Kashieca!
The key piece is this plaid, high waist pair of pants. The waist is cinched and the legs are wide, which is something that looks very 70s.
Together, this outfit actually rang up to less than P700! And actually, if I wanted to, I could've found a matching pair of shoes for less than P300.

Bateau, Bateau, Pick!
There's something very classic and elegant about a "bateau" or "boat" neckline.
One reason behind this is because of Audrey Hepburn. She's always been the epitome of class and elegance, and she would wear this neckline a lot - both in films and in real life.
Who can forget her LBD with the bateau neckline that she wore in "Breakfast at Tiffany's." In "Sabrina," she also wore this type of dress almost throughout the entire film. Guess that's why it's also known as the "Sabrina" neckline.
It then comes as no surprise that I'm also on the constant look-out for dresses and tops with this neckline type.
And yes, Kashieca had it!
This combination is so fashionable, it's no wonder I picked it!

Just Jack-et!
Although jackets don't really get worn these days, I still find myself browsing the net for chic outerwear.
While doing that, this jacket from Kashieca popped up.
There's so much going for this jacket.
First, there's the refreshing blue hue.
Second, there's the utilitarian-fashion design.
Third, there's the cool neckline and sleeves.
Fourth, there's the fact that it's available in my sister's size.
Yes, I think we all know what just happened next.

Black and White: Two (non) colours, two ways
While I'm a huge fan of bright colours, it doesn't mean that I can't appreciate the beauty of basic black and white. In fact, there have been a few posts on this blog about this combination of (non) colours.
Today, there will be an addition to that post, as there are 2 new and chic outfits which were recently delivered by Lazada.
The first one, a very French-looking pair, again from the Lucy Torres-Gomez x Kashieca collaboration.

Color Story: The Primaries
If you looked at my Crayola box as a kid, one glaring thing is the fact that red and blue were the shortest crayons in the box.
The reason was simple, they were my all-time favourite colours and would use them non-stop.
It's a combination that still has my heart until now. That's why when these 2 separate items popped up on my Lazada page, it was "add to cart" immediately!

Chic two Kashieca
It's no secret that - thanks to Lazada - my interest in Kashieca was renewed.
The past few weeks, package upon package from Lazada would arrive at home. The items inside - Kashieca, of course.
After giving the pieces to Ate Bullet, she liked them a lot that she ended up wearing 2 outfits for 2 consecutive days.
First was the jumpsuit that I wrote about here:
Second, a wide-legged pant and cotton-tailored shirt, both from the Lucy Torres x Kashieca collaboration as well:
Looking at Ate rocking these outfits, my reaction is that it's too chic and two chic!

After the Jump. Again.
When Lucy Torres-Gomez collaborated with Kashieca for a collection in 2019, one of the items that immediately caught my eye was a jumpsuit.
It had a utilitarian design and was made of linen which gave it a nice structure. The "surprise" of the garment was in the form of two high slits on both sides of the jumpsuit leg. It gave it that touch of femininity.
Despite all that was going for it, whenever I'd go to Kashieca to check out the collection, it wasn't an item that drew me in. Eventually, I bought a couple of skirts and blouses from the collection. There was a dress that was under consideration, too. But eventually, that never made it to my purchased item list as well.
Then, in one of my Kashieca runs on Lazada, that jumpsuit popped out as one of the items for consideration. Since it was on sale, my thought was: "what the heck, let's add to cart and get it!"
When it was finally delivered, my reaction was "Whoa! This is a VERY NICE jumpsuit!!!"

Best laid Plaids
This has to be one of the best online purchases I made from Kashieca on Lazada.
With its combination of 2 types of plain fabrics, this skirt has that punk-edge feel to it. Somehow, it reminds me of Vivienne Westwood plus a bit of J.W. Anderson. From its asymmetric style to the buckle on the side, it has so much character and it would be a great focal point when worn. The more I look at it, the more it looks like a deconstructed kilt.
Because it already has so much character, the top should be more muted and classic, but still with a touch of fashion. This blouse from the Lucy Torres x Kashieca collaboration is just what the outfit needs. It's classic white with a high, boatneck. But the sleeves are interesting because of the gathered garter detail.

Chic to Shiec
My liking for the brand Kashieca is long-standing.
It started when they were still an independent brand, until they were eventually bought by the Bench group.
From the time they were rolling out feminine and chic dresses on their own, until they came up with collaborations with Randy Ortiz, then JC Buendia, then the most recent one with Lucy Torres-Gomez, I've been a fan.
In fact, I remember regularly visiting their store in Greenbelt 5 when I worked in Makati. When I moved to Ortigas, I'd check out their SM Megamall branch on a weekly basis. When they were still open at Gateway Mall, I'd also be a weekly visitor. Then, when the malls would go on sale - even the far-off ones - I'd go there precisely to check out Kashieca.
But of course, the last time I went inside their store was in February, before all this happened. And you can just imagine how much I miss the brand.
Until last week, of course.
Yes, belated as it may be, I just very recently discovered that they were at LazMall.
Now, I'm back to visiting the store on a daily basis!
Albeit online.
