As the world mourns the loss of a great leader, I mourn the loss of a person who was an inspiration to me when I was in school. I remember hearing about his story on the news and started researching about his life. That time, we still didn't have the internet, so I had to go through books and microfilm just to get a glimpse of the life of Nelson Mandela. And it was truly, truly inspiring.
I feel fortunate to have been born to a generation who witnessed greatness such as him.
