Tadaaah!

As a person who still writes and sends cards, receiving one is always a thrill.

Claire is a kindred spirit who does the same. She never fails to send her beautiful and unique handmade cards. And here's her creation this year.

True to her blog's title, this truly is a "Tadaaah!" moment.

Make a note

Last year, while looking for a supplier for stickers, it led me to this page called Crafts & Ink. They had a lot of nice sticker designs, so I contacted them to check if they could do the design we had in mind.

It was a pleasant surprise when the owner contacted me because she turned out to be a former student of mine. This was her business, which made me even more confident to pass on our requirements to her.

Since then, I've been getting stickers from her regularly. Then, last week, I asked her if she also made notecards. Particularly, a design that's been in my file for months - a note card with toile du jouy border and a simple script monogram.

After answering to the affirmative, my note cards are here!

This is going to make writing notes a lot more fun!

It's all in the cards

One of my favorite design tasks is laying out materials for Dexter's. Last week, Ate Bullet asked me design their calling cards, and just like the last time, we used some of their best cake creations as focal point for the cards.

I did 10 different designs and I wouldn't be surprised if clients collect all 10. Each cake is really a visual masterpiece. But if I were to choose my favorite among the 10, it has to be this Vera Wang inspired wedding cake.

It truly is a masterpiece in sugar!

Christmas countdown!

It's officially December! And we're down to 25 days before the big Christmas celebration.

This year, my goal is to send out all my Christmas cards by next week. Plus, I'd like to get my Christmas shopping done by December 20 at the latest. (If the world doesn't end, that is.)

The Christmas cards are slowly being filled up, and I've gone through more than half of my Christmas list. So, I've got more than 2 weeks to complete everything.

Let the countdown begin!
