Spent Saturday night supporting Kurt & Cza's latest Meraki pop-up.

Of course, Kuro was there.

The event had such a young and laid-back vibe. And staying there for a few hours gave me this realisation.

I'm definitely old.

Night walker

There's something very soothing and calming about walking at night. Much more so when you have this cute poodle joining you.

Kuro enjoys walking out a lot. Just like me. 

We should so this more often.

Doggone it!

Oh no! Kuro and Chunky just figured out how to escape from Ate’s garage!

Kuro was successful in his escape, using different chairs to hop out of the barrier, then he was gone! We had to chase him after he escaped. No do8bt, Chunky will learn the same trick soon.

From Baking to Biking

It was sometime in 2020 - the start of the pandemic - that Ate Bullet, Ray and the 2 boys started talking about opening a coffee shop for bikers. 

Ray is an avid bike enthusiast, and part of their trips would be looking for good coffee apres riding. One of their usual haunts was a place in Makati called Kohi Coffee. It was during those rides that they planned of having their own coffee shop one day.

In 2022, that dream finally became a reality with Kuro. And in a few days, they'll celebrate their 1st year.

The shop is located beside the old bakeshop owned by Ray, which is great because they've already built a loyal clientele there. Now, with the influx of bikers, their old bakeshop habitue has expanded. So, it's a good mix of old and new.

Looking back at how they were just discussing this shop, to reading about it here, it's clear that their passion for both baking and biking is what will make Kuro even more successful in the future.

Walking the Dog

Nope, this post isn't about a yo-yo trick.

Admittedly, though, I knew how to do that yo-yo trick when I was in high school.

This post is about Kuro, my sister's dog.

Since he spends most of his time inside the house, I'd occasionally borrow him from Ate and take him out for a walk around our compound. This often happens in the evenings when the weather is cool and windy.

It's a great way for Kuro to walk around and stretch his legs. And for me to get some exercise.

Dog-gone it! This is a win-win situation!

Early birds

Finally, Mark was able to visit the new shop in Katipunan early this morning! And Ate Bullet and the family were so glad to see him.

Bonus: we were able to have a good and heart breakfast there! Courtesy of Ate's excellent cooking skills, of course.
