Kids can learn a lot from the past, especially when the past is dramatically re-told in full Hollywood fashion.
For my Investigative Journalism class today, I decided to show them the film Frost/Nixon. With the story's origins coming from the Watergate crisis, I thought it would be interesting enough to keep the students' glued on to the screen for 2 hours.
Apparently not.
When I went inside the classroom 1 hour into the film, some students were already dozing off, while one was actually sleeping on the floor.
Wowie is right. Sometimes, these kids have very little sense of history.
