#FeelingBlessed
Once upon a time, that hashtag was THE hashtag that everyone was using. So much so that it became some sort of a joke.
Today, though, that hashtag is not only very apt, it's also very timely. Because on December 8, we celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of our Blessed Virgin Mary.
This Feast day is of special significance to me because Mama Mary has been truly kind and merciful to me.
With her, I truly am #FeelingBlessed.

FMM: In my Heart
So, there are 2 big things happening today.
First, it's the Feast of our Lady of Lourdes. Which is a very important date for me since I'm a Lourdesian and this feast is close to my heart. Memories of my grade school and high school days, hearing mass and having Marian celebrations defined this day for me.
Second, it's Friday Magic Madness day! And as explained last week, all of my FMM songs this February will be "Heart-themed."
Which brings me to this perfect song that combines the Feast Day and FMM Day. A classic song from Phil Collins from 1985.
How can this song not be perfect?
Being a Lourdesian and a devotee of Our Lady of Lourdes will always be in my heart.

Sunday Feasts
This Sunday is doubly special for us Catholics because of 2 Feasts we are celebrating today.
First, the Feast of Christ's Baptism.
I'll never tire of the Gospel reading for this Sunday. It highlights Christ's humility and John the Baptist's acceptance of his responsibility.
Second, the Feast of the Black Nazarene.
Although the way it's celebrated has greatly changed since 2020, Faith goes beyond physical processions and the traditional Traslacion.
Happy Feast Day x 2!

This day is Immaculate
Yes, it's the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary.
It's been 2 years since my last mass to celebrate this Feast Day. I'm missing hearing masses on December 8, usually at 6pm in Megamall with Mark. Hopefully, this time next year, everything will be back as it should be and we'll be hearing physical masses again soon.
Also, today is the birthday of a few friends of mine. And one thing they have in common? They're all named "Concepcion."
Once again, Happy Feast Day, Mama Mary!

A Channel of Peace
Today is the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi.
Coming from a Franciscan and Capuchin School, we hold this feast day very close to our hearts. And the memories of feast days from Elementary to High School are still embedded in my mind and heart.
Just like the very meaningful and powerful prayer of St. Francis.
Happy Feast Day, St. Francis! I pray that you continue to make me - and more people - a Channel of your Peace.

Hope’s Hero
His advice and mantra of “Pray, Hope and Don’t Worry” has been a source of strength and comfort for so many years. And today, we happily celebrate his Feast Day.
Happy Feast Day, St. Padre Pio. Because if you, I have so much to be thankful for.

A great Assumption
The story of the Assumption of Mama Mary is one of my favourite subjects to talk about during high school.
Whenever August would come around, we would discuss it in our Christian Living classes, as well as our weekly prayer meetings.
Since our school was a Marian school, this would also be the subject of many stage plays and performances in August.
That's why it had such a strong impact on me then.
And it still has a strong impact on me now.
Happy Feast Day of the Assumption!

The 8th is Great
Especially December 8 because this is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.
The Blessed Mother has always been a huge part of my life - from childhood until present times. That's why I'm glad to have studied in Lourdes School because it brought me closer to Our Lady of Lourdes and Mama Mary.
That's why this day is a great day for me. And for our Immaculate Mother:
Happy Feast of the Immaculate Conception!
Happy Feast Day, Immaculate Mother!

Sincerely, Truly, Perfect, Inspiring, Outstanding
Thank you, St. Pio, for always being there for me. My gratitude to you is boundless. You said: "Pray, Hope and Don't Worry," and those words have strengthened me for so long and so many times.
And now, more than ever, your words are what the world needs now:
"Pray, Hope and Don't Worry."
