Suddenly

The world woke up to the sad news that one of the world's biggest musical icons - Olivia Newton John - suddenly passed away.

"Iconic" is an apt way to describe both her and her music. 

From her start in the industry in the 70s until now, she was always a bright light and shining presence. I've been a fan of hers, starting from my childhood. Proof is how she's been featured in several of my blog posts.

And further proof is how I can sing "Xanadu" at the drop of a hat.

Heaven will suddenly be filled with beautiful music now that ONJ is there.

FMM: Suddenly Summer

And just like that, it's summer once again.

Usually, we'd be planning for our company outing around this time. Or, we'd be planning the creative outing. Or, we'd be planning an outing with D' Frendz or Melrose.

Better yet, Mark and I would probably be in Tokyo, or traveling somewhere.

But like last year, summer will mostly be spent indoors, staying safe. Despite the change in the way we do it, there are still a lot of reasons to love summer.

Which inspired today's Friday Magic Madness song from the musical "Grease" from the 70s.

We might be stuck at home, but that shouldn't stop us from enjoying summer nights. And days, too.

Olivia Newton-John has to be one of the 80s coolest singers. Not only is she pretty and sings excellently, she also had a lot of breakthrough songs with equally awesome videos.

And the invasion of the "classics" (read: old) continues.

On my way home, I saw huge posters advertising the concert of Cliff Richard this February.

Yes, Cliff Richard.

Most people from my generation might not even remember him. The only reason why I know Cliff Richard is because Dad had a cassette tape of his songs and I would listen to them.

Especially his duet with Olivia Newton-John.
