Closing the Gap (and Old Navy)

So, this is what has become of the big Gap and Old Navy store in Shangrila Plaza mall.

Used to enjoy visiting here since it was massive! Two floors of all things Gap and Old Navy!

But the past year, their stocks and selections were meh, so this store closing shouldn't be a surprise.

Hope Gap and Old Navy gets to pivot and be relevant again soon.

What's the Occasion?

It's Old Navy Occasion!

Yup, Zac Posen is also injecting his fashionable, feminine-chic DNA in Old Navy. 

There are elegant dresses and separates, both in printed and plain fabrics. As the name implies, their designs are good for any occasion, whether it's a Sunday brunch or a stylish dinner out, you can count on Old Navy to give you the right ensemble.

Again, I'm hoping they'll carry this line in MNL.

Here comes the Navy!

Here's further proof that Old Navy is indeed coming to Philippine shores! Their first store is currently being constructed in Glorietta 3, just beside Zara. Incidentally, both are SSI owned brands.

I can't wait to see what Old Navy has to offer Filipino shoppers. And I hope that they'll do good here, especially since their performance in Tokyo (their first Asian store) has been lackluster.
