FMM: Film-ing

Bet you didn't see this coming.

Today's Friday Magic Madness song is inspired by last Monday's post on film cameras.

The title of that post was inspired by this 1981 hit from Duran Duran.

"Girls on Film" is one of the favourite songs of my cousin Nene. We're both Durannies since childhood, and this is one of the songs we'd talk about a lot as kids.

They don't make films like this amymore.

FMM: Call of the Wild part 3

It was inevitable.

All that "wild" talk reminded me of this classic 80s ditty from one of the bands which was a childhood favorite, Duran Duran!



Yes, 4 decades after, we're still wild over "Wild Boys."

FMM: Monday on a Friday

Back in the 80s, our house was divided.

Among us 5 siblings, some were Spandau Ballet fanatics, while some were Duran Duran supporters.

I was among the Durannies. (Yup, that's what we were called.)

For me, their songs sounded more gritty and catchy. And their lyrics! So poetic.

One example is this 80s ditty that will be my Friday Magic Madness song for today.



See, it's a song that's more than 30 years old, but still sounds current.
