My first trip abroad this year is a bit late, and a bit short. Despite that, I'm excited to spend the next 48 hours in Singapore, doing one of the things I like doing best.

FMM: On the move
Hands down, the B52s is one of my all-time favorite bands. As a kid, I'd listen to them with such interest and awe. As an adult, I'd still listen to them with the same interest and awe that I had as a kid.
Their melody is infectious. Their lyrics are clever. Kate Pierson's vocals are top notch. And all their songs have this happy quality that makes everything feel happy and light.
And this Friday, as my students and I get ready to go on our field trip, it's time to put on some good old B52s and start roaming!
(I miss this song. And I miss singing it, since this is one of our "signature songs" whenever we go out videoke-ing. I hope this is in one of the Magic Sings next Saturday.)
