Maundy Thursday masses usually include the washing of the feet. This is one of the acts that really highlighted the humility of Jesus Christ, as he washed each of the apostles' feet prior to the last supper.
It's a sacred act that also reminds me of the masses that Mark and I attend at the Franciscan Chapel in Ropponggi. They would also have a washing of the feet where the lay ministers would ask the congregation to step forward to have their feet washed.
Humility is really one of the qualities that Jesus lived by that we should also bring into our daily lives, as much as we can.
After all, a little humility can go a long, long way.
